Types of FSSAI License :

  • FSSAI Basic Registration : if your business is small and your annual turnover does not exceed from 12 lakh rupees then you need this FSSAI basic registration
  • FSSAI State Registration : if you already have basic registration and your turnover exceed from 12 lakh and is less than 20 crore rupees then state registration is required.
  • FSSAI Central Registration : if your turnover exceeds 20 crores then you need this central registration and if you are starting the import export business then this central registration is required.

Important Guideline : if you are suppling your food products in more than 10 states then you must need to register under central registration and if you are importer or exporter and you are applying for FSSAI registration you must need IEC code. The owner of the brand must have display the FSSAI logo and license number on the wrapper.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED :

  • Personal information of the FSSAI Application Applicant :
    • 1.) PAN Card : Copy of PAN is mandatory identity proof.
    • 2.) Copy of Aadhaar Card / Voter identity card / Driving License / Passport (Either of the Four)
    • 3.) Passport size Photo
  • Documents for Registered office from where the food business is being operated :
    • 1.) The latest Utility Bill ( Electricity / Water Bill)
    • 2.) Copy of Rent Agreement( if Rented property)
    • 3.) Copy of property paper (if owned property)

Note - It’s are often a residential property, there's no issue therein but above documentation are required for an equivalent.

  • In addition to the above following documents also are required for Basic FSSAI Registration :
    • 1.) Form-A must be appropriated completely and signed by all directors/ partners/ proprietor /Executive member of society
    • 2.) Declaration regarding food safety management system FSMS on the letterhead of the firm or company
    • 3.) Proof of Income determining the annual turnover of food business operator
    • 4.) Nomination of the person appointed by the company in Form No.IX and the copy of Board Resolution
    • 5.) Self Declaration by Director
    • 6.) Affidavit on Non - Judicial Stamp paper
  • In addition to the above following documents also are required for State or Central FSSAI License :
    • 1.) Duly filled Form – B must be correctly and appropriately completed and signed by the directors/ partners / proprietor / Executive member of society
    • 2.) List of Partners / Proprietor / Executive Members of Society with complete address and get in touch with details.
    • 3.) Blueprint plan/layout plan of the processing unit installed capacity and horsepower used.
    • 4.) Constitution of company MOA and AOA / Partnership Deed
    • 5.) Analysis report as per the nature and business activity of the company
    • 6.) Food and safety management system and certificate
    • 7.) Declaration regarding food safety management system&4.) 0; FSMS &4.) 1; on the letterhead of the firm or company
    • 8.) Proof of Income determining the annual turnover of food business operator
    • 9.) Nomination of the person appointed by the company in Form No.IX and the copy of Board Resolution
    • 10.) Self Declaration by Director
    • 11.) NOC from the local authority
    • 12.) Affidavit on Non-Judicial Stamp paper
    • 13.) List of food category desired to be manufactured
    • 14.) Production unit Photograph
    • 15.) the other documents which can be a requirement by authority on the idea of the need of the business
